The Saturn Corporation was founded in 1985 and was a subsidiary of General Motors. Saturn operated somewhat independently with its own assembly plant, unique models and separate retailer network. With production halting in 2009, Saturn established a reputation of manufacturing reliable and affordable vehicles for the everyday city commuter.
