The Jackson’s Toyota story began in 1921 Saskatchewan as Lorne Jackson began his career repairing Model Ts on his farm before moving to Walkerton, Ontario in the early 1940s. From there, the Jackson family moved to St. Thomas where his first few dealerships were opened. Jackson’s Motors opened its doors in Barrie, 1949, as the city’s first and only Studebaker dealership and expanding to include a Chrysler Plymouth dealership until 1972 and the Barrie landmark of the Continental Inn Where Barrie Chrysler now resides.
