The model is the first in the F-150 Series to feature an independent rear suspension which ultimately helps in improving the quality of the ride. The Four drive modes available on the truck include the Sport, Normal, Off-Road, and Haul/Tow.

Generally, handling the Lightning truck is easy and stress-free on open highways and twisty roads. The truck also features a one-pedal driving feature that allows the driver to use the accelerator pedal as both the accelerator and the brake.
